Non- Resident Indian - Persons of Indian Origin.

NRI, is the short word used for Non Resident Indians.  The Indians who have left India mostly for earning a livelihood and for other reasons are staying abroad are known as Non Resident Indians (NRIs).  They have been instrumental in providing a huge amount of foreign exchange.  They have been also very useful for the countries where they are doing jobs or business and have their share in the developmental activities of those countries.  Non Residents Indians, especially those working in middle eastern countries have their own problems.  One of the main problems faced by them is the education of the children.  The other problems are related to voting rights, travel difficulties and lack of any special privileges when they return back to India. There is a lack of right investment opportunity for the NRI's.  Many people who have struggled for year to earn a decent living abroad, when they returned back to their countries found that their hard earned money vanish within no time due to lack of experience and security aspects of Investments. It is always recommended that NRI's take adequate precautions before they invest their hard earned money.
